At the Movies

The Schauburg is one of three "art" theaters in Bremen and a place where we can see English-language films that are good but not necessarily block busters. We can always find James Bond or the Marvel comic book heroes at the major commercial theaters, but lots of films never make it there in their original language.

And it's cool!

There's just the one counter for everything - tickets, snacks, coffee, drinks, and ambience.

Posters and playbills and photos are all over the walls, of course.

And inside, it's a bit old-fashioned with velvety seats and a curtain over the screen that opens and closes for the previews and then the main feature.

Since we have to take the train to town for these adventures, we like going early - the 2:00 show this time.  I think there were 7 of us there!

The movie?  "Poor Things" with Emma Stone. I won't recommend it - lots of bizarre weirdness and so-called adult themes that are not my cup of tea, but it was  interesting.

And it's always fun when your favorite guy takes you to the movies.
