Chill

 Is it Klimawandel (climate change) or just the normal German "summer?" We have been up and down temperature-wise the last couple of weeks. Highs have ranged between 90F and 65F. For the next week temps are not predicted to be over 68F (18C) .  We might be turning on the heat a bit ...in July! But this is not sooo weird. I remember that one time Michelle came to visit, it was this time of year. July 4 we went rowing along the Weser and wore all our long-sleeved things and scarves!

But the weekend was at least half good.  We drove over to René and Rima's, I got a hair cut and we all got some family time.

It's summer, and even if it isn't so summery weather-wise, we love grilling outside. Tonight, BIG RIBS!

After the grilling, we all  enjoyed the food. 

There are new chickens in the pen. Sadly, a hawk got one of the former chicks, and another got sick. But the new ones are getting accustomed to their new home.

Health problems with some of Rima's family took some time, but sad as it is, it is so good to have family close by. 

Of course, we watched the game! Go Germany!
