Tablecloth

Waaaaaay back in 2010, when Hunter and Hannah brought Kenley along for a visit, I made a tablecloth and napkins especially for the kids. The tablecloth is a neutral beige linen, sturdy.  The napkins were intended to be a sort of lesson about conservation - we'd use them more than once, not throw them away, not have to wash them each time.  Everyone had their own napkin ring even!

Needless to say, that lesson was a bust, but the tablecloth got pulled out now and again when there was one leaf in the table.  And then somewhere in one of my many needlework magazines or books, I saw a picture of a cloth that was signed by all the visitors to the table.  I thought that was cool, so the next time we had visitors, we began to collect signatures from our guests, family, friends, even one dog.
Everyone's is a bit different, of course.  Some are big and some are small.
Some are easy to embroider and some near to impossible.
I try to honor color choices.
And sometimes a little flower pops up.  I need more of those to pop up!
Come visit and have a seat at the table and we'll never forget you were here with us.
