It's all pretty close by and the weather was simply perfect today - low humidity, lots of sunshine, about 75° - so we did the usual and got the bikes out.

First we pedaled along the Lesum to our first stop, a studio of painters and folks who work with ceramics. There's a guy there who does classes in Mexican cooking, too (!) but we didn't see him.
It was a sunny, open, bright space.
Werner tried his hand at scratching - not as easy as it looks!
Next stop, an old converted brewery that now houses painters and sculptors - the one sculptor (a SHE) works mainly with chain saws. Believe me, she doesn't look like a chainsaw artist.
Even the discarded and lumped together used paint tubes look like art.
We pedaled on and found the next on our agenda - a person who takes whatever is around and plays with it. Some painted furniture, some paintings, stacked rocks, all displayed outside. Good thing the weather was good!
On and on we go, by Frau Jorns' studio. Werner used to teach one of her daughters and our good friend Johanna has taken lessons from her for years. Werner's been frustrated trying to sign up for short classes at the Volkshochschule that keep getting cancelled for lack of interest, so he talked to Frau Jorns and he's in, starting tomorrow! Wow, that was fast. I expect results in short order.
Last stop, a small small place where the visitors could play with the paint. Werner used a paper towel and ink to make this lovely little piece in about 5 minutes!
Here's the professionally done video of the tour if you're interested:
After that it was time for Kaffee and Kuchen, this time with the leftover crepes from breakfast with a spread of Nutella. Yum.

Tomorrow they've promised cooler temperatures and a good chance of rain. I hope this isn't the last of the lovely fall weather, but glad we had it on the weekend!
