It's Christmas eve. Now our pelican is basking in almost spring-like weather - it was 50° F today, for heavens' sake! I wore a short-sleeved shirt all day and was too warm more often than not.
I went to the market to pick up the last minute things for the next few days when everything will be closed, delivered the breads that I make for my favorite market folks, and then we proceeded to get everything ready for dinner with our little family here - Mutti, Christoph and Claudia, and her parents.
Werner arranged a special taxi for Mutti so we could bring her in comfort in the wheel chair. That worked great, and we enjoyed our dinner of pumpkin soup, roasted filet of beef, roasted potatoes, green beans, mushroom sauce and Key lime pie.
No pictures. Mutti so dislikes and is so uncomfortable having her picture taken at all that I just sat on my camera finger. But imagine a small group sitting around the table, talking and eating and enjoying each others' company. A tree warmly lit.
Warm wishes for family gatherings around warmly lit trees.
