Oops

What is this? Do they do this in the USA? Maybe in some places. Unfortunately, I haven't been there in a while. Fortunately, I don't know the answer.


Oops. Werni got caught. He was driving too fast (though not REALLY fast - 70k in a 50k zone). And this is how the police catch you here. They take a picture. They send you the picture. They send you the bill! It's really hard to challenge the evidence.

But it was only 10 euros. Thank goodness.

Yes, they do electronic monitoring here too. Generally though, it's not for speeding, but more for running a red light, etc.

You can see the cameras, but(!!) the ticketing cannot commence until a sign has been posted for months, six, I think, letting people know that, in the future, if they break the law, they can be ticketed.

Also, these photo ops are at the toll booths in case you "run it."
