It is soooooo spring here - finally! We had a glorious long weekend with more activities on the calendar than we could possibly do. So we didn't. We took a little bike ride, took in the warm, took in the sunshine.
May Day is of two minds here: International Workers' Day (leftovers of the more Socialist era) and the more basic May Day celebrating springtime. In Hamburg they rioted about social issues, in Vegesack they socialized around the May Pole. All the communties ln our area have a May Pole. Unfortunately, a bit too tall for dancing around but no riots.
