Winding Down - or Up

Yesterday we were at what is becoming an annual outing for us - Summer in Lesmona, an outdoor musical event at Knoops Park, a large and lovely park here in North Bremen. The weather is so upredicable this time of year and it often rains. The regulars are stoic about it and come prepared with umbrellas, tarps, ponchos and other assorted rain gear.

But they also come with collapsable tables, candles, yummy eatables and good moods.

We look kinda cute with all this gear strapped to our bikes. But who wants to deal with cars??

This time the theme was "Romeo and Juliet" but they included love songs from all ages. The evening program is always a cross-over affair - this time classic and jazz. It was wonderul.

There wasn't really time to do it, but I made spanakopita after finding out I could special order phyllo dough from my local delicatessen. Herr Scharinghausen was amused when I wanted to have just one package - so I ended up with three. The remaining two will stay frozen till I find some other reason to use it.

Today, I have been buried by papers.

Yuk. So much grading to do. Tomorrow what I have in hand WILL be done. Tuesday will bring another wave of tests that I hope to have graded before we leave Thursday. Probably won't happen, but I'll try.
