A couple of months ago we had new carpeting put in and thought at the time it would be nice to do the kitchen as well. So, we did!
It's pretty easy, actually. The room is small (as are all our rooms!) and there was only one type of flooring to consider - vinyl - because everything here is crooked and wobbly. The next folks to move in can upgrade to ceramic tile if they want.
Old floor:
Actually, looks pretty good in this picture but there were lots of little knife wounds.
We took out the little table and dismantled the stand that holds the little oven and the microwave and some hanging pots and cookbooks and hotpads and other stuff. It was dusty back there!
Werner removed the old vinyl. Interesting under stuff there....
Then we rolled out the new flooring and used the old one for a pattern. The deck is big enough for that job.
And here it is! We're happy with our choice. It is just a touch darker than the old on, but not much and it goes well with the cabinets. Sadly it does NOT go well with the yellow wall. That will be the next job. But it can wait a couple of weeks.
