The word looks like it has to do with loggers and wood and trees. But noooo. It has to do with fish, and fishermen.
The Loggermarkt celebrates the traditional herring catch of years ago - herring that were later pickled and smoked and cured and dried - or were eaten "green" (fresh) - fried - a reason to celebrate the fresh catch. Here, they're being smoked.
But now of course it's a reason to do more. FLEA MARKET ! They sell everything.
Old wheels.
Old Barbies.
Used books.
And since it was a sunny, windy day, there were lots of sailors on the Weser.
And I am constantly amused (frustrated?) by the random English words that manufacturers put on clothes in Germany.
Here, it says Groundcrew REBEL NOW Authentic Vibes.
Really? OK. Well, Does that mean something? Noooo. It's just English. So it's cool.
