The BreNor

We did this last year (and the year before, and so on..) and actually I thought I could just repost last year's entry, since things had hardly changed,  but of course I won't.

But it was much the same - the barriers for the toad wandering, the Japanese magnolias in full bloom, the forsythias winding down but still brilliant yellow, the coming warmth in the air, and lots of folks at the fair.

And this time we actually bought something!  Two creeping thyme plants (one purple, one pink) to fill in where Winter had decimated, and from the local police station a special marking system for our treasures that can be easily traced should some bozo decide to try and take our treasures without our permission.  It seems to work well - potential thieves know beforehand that trying to resell their booty is useless.

But the thyme is prettier ....

Biking back, we stopped at the square in Blumenthal where some local dancers were perfoming and then went through the park that's still being reconstructed from a private manor from the last century. The old manor house looks like an abandoned castle, and the wild things are beginning to bloom. All in all a nice day. Again.
