Three days in Atlanta is the absolute minimum, but everyone pulled together to make it the maximum. What a great few days!
We left Lynn Haven on the 30th and arrived in Atlanta, not too late in the day. Dinner with Ginny and Barry was hearty and umami (if you don't know the word/concept, you can read about it here and here).
Next day, on the eve of 2009, we drove to Stone Mountain and took a walk on the Bird Trail. The weather was cool, crisp and clear and though we didn't see many birds -- it is off season, after all -- we had a great walk.
There was ham, blueberry cobbler, potato salad, slaw (two sorts), hot dogs (two sorts), chips and dips and salami and bread and cookies and nuts and brownies and what a lot of food! Good thing, because there were a lot of people!
Don't we all look great?

It was just wonderful to have EVERY SINGLE ONE of the Atlanta crew there together all at the same time.
You just can't beat family.
