Ursel's Chair

Sounds like the name of a movie, or something. But it's just a chair. Well, not JUST a chair since the chair is a family piece well over 100 years old, hand carved and irreplaceable. Unfortunately, it was covered in old-lady velvet, the shade of which was akin to spoiled meat. A new cover was demanded.

Ursel and I visited the fabric shop, found the perfect piece and then Werner and I got the chair. Yow.

It was a daunting task. I was scared to death of harming the chair and constantly fussed at Werner to "watch out!!" for anything and everything and unimagined things.

But finally it was done and done well. Ursel pronounced herself delighted! Werner and I are delighted too now that it is back home where it belongs.
