We got back to Germany with Hunter and Hannah who alternated between excitement and extreme exhaustion the first day - totally to be expected. We were tired, too!
Everything has been a little adventure because it's different here. Hunter has had a gazillion questions - not all of which have answers - and they've both been curious and cooperative.
Tuesday we took the train into town and visited the Science Museum. We got started late because we had to first go to market, but we arrived about 2:30 and we didn't want to leave when they closed at six!
Wednesday was a big day, too. In the morning we picked up the bikes we're borrowing for the kids and took a little tour about the town. I was curious to see how they'd handle all the "rules of the road" here in Germany, but they did great!
And later was the highlight of the trip so far, and I think we'll be hard-pressed to beat it! Peggy had invited us to visit and ride Mozart and then have a cookout. The kids were natrually a little shy with each other, not in small part due to the language barrier. But they figured it out (Hannah and Felina came in at separate times and in different languages to tell us "We're communicating!") and had a fantastic time. Felina's asking about visiting the US!
Here's a slide show.
